Pain Free Hair Removal FAQs

General

I have lots of ingrown hair. Can IPL treat them?

Yes certainly. IPL hair removal is a great option for people who often face ingrown hair problems. Advanced IPL is able to detect the ingrown hair areas and its roots therefore effectively ceasing ingrown hair problems.

What is IPL?

IPL or Intense Pulsed Light is the newest and most effective hair removal method. This is a better alternative to laser, since it can treat larger areas like the neck and back. IPL doesn’t invade the skin’s surface so it remains safe from any waves or radiation during the hair removal process.

How does this hair removal treatment work?

IPL uses the intense light to heat the hair and destroy its capability to grow back. The intense light will detect the contrast between the hair follicles and the skin as it travels through the tissue of the skin until it strikes the hair shafts or the root of the hair. Thereafter, light is converted to heat energy destroying the bulb where most of the hair shaft and the entire hair follicles are. We are able to bring the heat deep towards the follicles even with less contrast between the hair and skin tones (E.g. blonde hair and blonde skin, dark hair and dark skin) without any risk of burning. This enables us to treat skin and hair types which are traditionally unable to be treated. IPL hair removal is hence an amazing technology which works very well on fine and thin hair.

Are the results from IPL hair removal treatment permanent?

After finishing all the sessions required, it will definitely be permanent. The damaged hair follicle will no longer grow back.

Why should we remove unwanted hair?

Is the hair removal treatment safe?

Can I still go for waxing while undergoing IPL treatment?
